Ebrahim & Omar Badsha @ DAG
Ends 21 March 2010
While Omar Badsha is best known as a photographer, in the 1960s and early 70s he produced, exhibited and won awards for his drawings and graphics. His father, the late Ebrahim Badsha, was a key figure at BICA (Bantu Indian Coloured Arts), an important art centre in Durban in the 1950s. This important exhibition at the Durban Art Gallery should go some way to recuperating some of this lost history, which fellow artists Selby Mvusi and Dumile Feni were also part of.
Peter Clarke @ Frank Joubert Art Centre

"Peter Clarke and Friends" is a unique exhibition featuring works by Clarke alongside works of other artists from his private collection. Lionel Davis opens 11 March, 18h00.
